Genertec International Leaders Visit Bangladesh

Lately, Genertec International President Gao Zhan and Chief Finance Officer Liu Chunwei led a delegation to visit Bangladesh. Members of the delegation held talks and communicated with local representatives during their visit to the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway Project and the Pajala Project, and attended the inauguration ceremony of CNTIC Bangladesh Power Grid Engineering Co., Ltd. and the ceremony of commissioning of the 11KV underground power cable network in downtown areas of Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. Moreover, they met and exchanged views with the head of the local financing bank and senior investment supervisor of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), effectively advancing the financing work for the photovoltaic project. In addition, a seminar for financial staff of three business units of Genertec International in Bangladesh was convened.

The delegation headed by Gao Zhan also visited Song Yang, Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh. During the visit, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the political and economic situations of Bangladesh and the business and representative offices of Genertec International in the South Asian country. Gao also met officials from government departments and local partners, including the executive secretary of the Ministry of Power of Bangladesh, president of Bangladesh-China Power Company (Pvt) Limited, president of Bangladesh-China Renewable Energy Company (Pvt.) Limited, CEO of North-West Power Generation Co., Ltd., and president of Dhaka Electric Supply Co., Ltd. All parties actively deepened communication and exchange, effectively pushing forward the financing and implementation of key cooperation projects. Local partners praised several projects that Genertec International constructed in Bangladesh as “calling cards” of China-Bangladesh friendship, and expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with Genertec International and jointly contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative.
