Genertec International’s Project in Bangladesh Wins 2023 Overseas Security Excellence Practice Award

The 2023 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council was held in Lianyungang, east China’s Jiangsu Province, on September 20-21. Genertec Vice President Zhou Mingchun spoke at the conference as a representative of centrally-administered enterprises. Zhou shared Genertec’s experience and practices in security management of overseas projects. Genertec International Vice President Lu Weijun and heads of Genertec’s departments for security and coordination were also present at the conference.

At the Development Security Forum, Genertec International’s Payra project in Bangladesh stood out from a myriad of overseas projects implemented by China’s centrally-administered enterprises and local state-owned enterprises and won the 2023 Overseas Security Excellence Practice Award. The award is the highest honor recognizing Chinese businesses’ performance in ensuring security when implementing overseas projects. It was the first time a subsidiary of Genertec won such an award.
