Genertec ASEAN, Global Tech-Transfer Hainan Center Establish Liaison Office in Malaysia

On December 11, the Global Tech-Transfer Hainan Center, in collaboration with the Operation Center in Malaysia of Genertec ASEAN, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement on International Technology Transfer and Innovation with Xiamen University Malaysia and the Asia ICM Resources Sdn. Bhd. Also, a liaison office was established in Malaysia. Fu Qinglan, General Manager of the Sime Darby Greater China, attended the signing ceremony.

The liaison office will serve as an important window and bridge for the Hainan Center to carry out technology transfer and innovation cooperation in Malaysia. With a focus on areas such as medical and health care, smart equipment and advanced manufacturing, semiconductors and electronic information, and green energy, it will share and screen information about high-value technology achievements, conduct joint research and development, and improve technology, alongside technology transfer and promotion.

Moving forward, the Hainan Center will rely on the liaison office in Malaysia to strengthen coordination with Genertec ASEAN, fully leverage their respective strengths, open up channels for technology innovation and industrial application, and bolster synergetic cooperation and exchanges with Genertec’s overseas network. These efforts aim to contribute much more to technology innovation and transfer in countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
