Genertec International Participates in the Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

　　The Fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) kicked off in Changsha, China on June 12. Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended and addressed the event. Vice President Gu Jin of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. (“Genertec”) attended the opening ceremony. Genertec International Holding Co., Ltd. (“Genertec International”), along with Genertec, participated in the CAETE at its China Central SOEs Pavilion. Genertec International exhibited the achievements yielded from its long-term and deep-rooted development in Africa in such fields as green ecology, clean utilization of traditional energy, infrastructure construction and production capacity cooperation, ICT business, and transformation of sci-tech achievements, showcasing the company’s efforts and contributions in underpinning Africa’s socio-economic development and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Africa.

　　The Botswana-China Business Forum was held concurrently. Attendees of the forum included senior officials from the government of Botswana, representatives from both Botswana’s and Chinese-funded enterprises, and multidisciplinary specialists. They conducted in-depth exchanges around bilateral economic and trade cooperation. Genertec China National Energy Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (“CNEE”) attended the forum, and was awarded the letter of authorization for the exclusive operating rights of “Botswana National Pavilion on JD.com”. For the first time, Botswana authorized a Chinese-funded enterprise to establish a national e-commerce platform, symbolizing a significant breakthrough in digital trade and brand promotion between Botswana and China.
