Successful Closure of First Auxiliary Road Bridge for Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway Projec

On September 6, Bridge No. 3 of the Turag River auxiliary road bridge under the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway Project, EPC contracted by GENERTEC CMC, was successfully closed, marking another major milestone in the construction of the bridge superstructure.

Bridge No. 3 is a 200-meter-long continuous rigid frame bridge by cantilever casting. The beam body features a single-box single-cell design with post-tensioned prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame beams of varying height sections, using cantilever casting technology with traveling formwork. The bridge span combination is (55+90+55) meters. The geological and hydrological conditions at this location are complex, with busy land and water traffic. The construction had to ensure stable and smooth passage of vehicles and vessels while guaranteeing construction safety and quality. Since the launch of traveling formwork construction, the project department has maintained strict safety and quality control, implemented scientific scheduling, and enforced meticulous operational management. All construction personnel collaborated effectively, responded proactively to challenges, and successfully completed the auxiliary road bridge closure, laying a good foundation for subsequent bridge deck construction.

The project department will maintain steady progress, consistently prioritizing safety and quality assurance, enforcing strict compliance with construction procedures, and advancing subsequent bridge deck construction with rigor, thereby securing a robust foundation for the seamless commissioning of the entire project line and delivering a high-standard, internationally recognized project for GENERTEC.
