Distributed PV Power Generation Project at Dalian Machine Tool

The distributed PV power generation project at Dalian Machine Tool, a subsidiary of Genertec, is built on the rooftop of the company’s factories at Dalian’s Digital & DNA industrial park and Wangfangdian. Invested, constructed and operated by Genertec CNTIC, the project was completed and put into use in October 2022.

Project highlights

1. Energy saving and carbon emission reduction

When the project is put into operation, it is expected to bring steady earnings to Genertec CNTIC every year, which is good for long-term development of the company and is in line with the company’s requirement for high-quality development. On average, the project is capable of providing 19.06 million kWh of clean energy to Dalian Machine Tool every year. Compared with coal-fired power plant, the project saves 7,649.43 tons of standard coal, and reduces around 20,703.2 tons of carbon emissions, 573.71 tons of SO₂ emissions, and 286.86 tons of NO₂ emissions every year.

2. Breakthroughs in independently developing PV modules

The PV modules used in the project were independently developed by Genertec CNTIC. In cooperation with PV module makers, Genertec CNTIC adopted the original design manufacturer (ODM) approach to producing PV modules for the project, and therefore, the PV modules are proprietary. They are certified by China Quality Certification Center and Technischener Uberwachungs Verein (TUV), and can be sold in both domestic and global markets.

3. Proprietary comprehensive energy management platform in place

With the project, Genertec CNTIC officially launched its proprietary comprehensive energy management platform, CNTIC Smart PV Operation Platform. Dominating the development of the platform, Genertec CNTIC owns its software copyright. As an important part of the company’s future comprehensive energy management platform, CNTIC platform will serve more new energy projects.
